Bridges Event Centre, South Australia’s largest regional events centre, is ideally positioned in the thriving heart of the Murraylands, in the evolving rural city of Murray Bridge. This state-of-the-art facility is nestled amidst picturesque country surrounds, yet is conveniently located less than an hour’s drive from the capital, Adelaide. With three dedicated event rooms and an abundance of outdoor space, this purpose-built facility ticks all the boxes, providing an excellent venue for weddings, conferences, corporate gatherings and special events. It is also home to the historic Murray Bridge Racing Club, with regular race days providing a fun day out at the track for punters and tourists alike. Hosting up to 730 people inside and 8,000 outside, there’s plenty of room for everyone to come and enjoy the facilities and professional service offered at this premier meeting mecca.

Make An Entrance

A grand square entranceway with a towering 20m high roof and huge glass windows create a glamorous first impression of this modern and stylish events space. Once inside, a warm and inviting foyer complete with fireplace welcomes you to settle in. Within the conference centre, a multitude of floor-to-ceiling windows offer uninterrupted views over the racetrack, and allow the space within to be bathed with natural lighting. Carpet tiled floors offer comfort underfoot, and lend a stylish feel to corporate and special events. And you won’t need to worry about navigating steps – a ramp leads from the carpark to the front entrance, and the entire venue is single-level, making accessibility a breeze! In true country racing style, the track which the venue overlooks is set in the middle of a paddock, with a serene and seasonally varied backdrop of sheep pastures and canola fields.

The Event Spaces

Bridges Event Centre features three dedicated event spaces – the Brinkley, Legends and Macquarie rooms. These flexible function rooms are separated by sound-proof dividers and serviced by three separate bars, providing privacy and convenience for your unique event requirements. Rooms can be tailored to best accommodate your needs, including cocktail, theatre and banquet configurations. All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing natural light to permeate the room. Views of the surrounding countryside create a picturesque backdrop for your next gathering – be it work or social. State-of-the-art, in-built sound systems ensure your message is heard, and wi-fi and conference call capabilities ensure you remain up-to-date and connected.

The Brinkley room on the northern side of the centre is the largest of the event spaces, and adjoins the terrace and lounge area. The Legends room is the next largest, with direct access to a balcony offering stunning views over the Murraylands, perfect for refreshment breaks and post-function drinks. The Macquarie room houses top-of-the-line projection equipment, and is ideally kitted out for conferences and corporate events. Guided tours of the events centre are available on request.

Murray Bridge Racing Club

The Bridge Events Centre is also home to the Murray Bridge Racing Club. Founded in 1899, this club and its committee and members represent over 100 years of horse racing history. The Club’s first race meet was held at its original track on Maurice Road on 25th July 1914. Over the course of its century-long existence, the club’s racetrack has relocated three times, settling in its current location on the grounds of the Bridges Event Centre.

The Club holds regular Race Meets, providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere to locals and visitors alike. The adjoining Bridges Event Centre offers a range of hospitality packages available to race-goers.
