A small collection of pyramid-shaped, three-bedroom, self-contained units are dotted across the lush, 60-acre property, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and native Australian vegetation. These architecturally and environmentally designed spaces create a sense of harmony with the stunning landscape, inviting intimacy with loved ones and immersion in nature.

Accommodation – The Pyramids

The journey to Grampians Getaway is all part of the adventure. Feel the weight of your daily stresses slowly fall away as you follow meandering roads lined with stunning natural scenery. Weave your way past quaint country towns towards the towering mountain peaks of the spectacular Grampians region.

Feel the pleasant bubble of anticipation as you enter the property’s warm and welcoming driveway, lined with gorgeous, landscaped gardens and natural rock. An easy self-check-in process is quick and convenient, assuring your ultimate privacy.

Six pyramid-shaped, self-contained cabins are thoughtfully positioned throughout the property, ensuring guests privacy, without being miles apart. Step inside and enter a beautifully designed peaceful oasis, where you can disconnect from daily life and find your place of rest.

These fully renovated, self-contained spaces include three spacious bedrooms, contemporary new kitchens, beautiful private bathrooms, and open living areas. A spiral staircase leads to a mezzanine loft retreat, complete with king-sized bed and timber-lined cathedral ceilings. Downstairs, the second bedroom features a queen-sized bed, while the third accommodates up to 3, with both a double and single bed. Large sliding doors offer a window into nature, filling the airy living and dining space with abundant natural light. Local artworks adorn the walls, and a cast-iron woodfire creates a cosy ambience perfect for curling up on the leather couch with a good book and steaming cuppa on chilly winter mornings. Outside, a picnic table and gas barbecue complete the suite, ensuring you have all you need for a restful and relaxing stay.

Bring Your Best Friend

Dogs will also delight in a stay at Grampians Getaway. Your four-legged family members are sure to have a tail-wagging time as you enjoy each other’s company and cuddles at this pet-friendly retreat.

Each unit features a private fenced enclosure, ensuring your pet remains safe and secure. Dogs are allowed inside the unit, but not on furniture or carpeted areas. Please bring your own pet bed and be sure to keep your dog under control to avoid disruption to other guests. You are responsible for cleaning up after your animal, and a small fee per dog per day is charged to cover the cost of any additional cleaning time.

The property’s private six-acre lake is a perfect place to swim, romp and run. Dive in…chase a stick…shake dry…repeat! Then frolic in the soft green grass on the water’s edge and roll over for tummy scratches in the warm sunshine….ah! That’s the spot!

While domestic pets are not allowed in Grampians National Park, there’s still plenty of places to get out and about with your furry friend. Get active on a walking trail stretching for eight kilometres from Halls Gap Hotel to Lake Bellfield, or take your pooch for an outing to a host of dog-friendly cellar doors and cafes throughout the region.

Experience A Natural High

Grampians Getaway is an idyllic base from which to explore and experience the natural high of immersion in the mountains of nature’s playground.

Take a brisk morning walk along a 1-kilometre track beside the lake, as birds, bees and butterflies dance on the morning breeze. Canoes are available free of charge to guests, and the stillness of the lake’s surface evokes a calmness in the soul. In the quiet stillness of evening, gather by a campfire to roast marshmallows and reconnect with conversations lit by the flickering flames.

If you feel like venturing further afield, there’s plenty of excellent options nearby. The multi award-winning Fallen Giants Winery is within walking distance, meaning you can indulge without worrying about the need for a designated driver. Or take a walk on the wild side to Halls Gap Zoo, Victoria’s largest regional zoo.

You can do it all, or nothing at all! Either way, you’re sure to emerge restored and re-energised!

Accessibility

Grampians Getaway is tucked amidst peaceful natural surrounds about seven minutes’ drive east of the small tourist township of Halls Gap, in the gorgeous Grampians region of Victoria. You will need to self-drive or make private arrangements to get there, as public transport or taxi services are not widely available to or within the region. Grampians Getaway is a picturesque three-hour drive from Melbourne CBD, or a pleasant five-and-a-half-hour drive from the South Australian capital city of Adelaide.

Grampians Getaway is a wonderfully peaceful retreat for you, your loved ones, and your furry best friend. Pet dogs and assistance animals are warmly welcomed at the property. Given the private positioning of The Pyramids, domestic dogs are unlikely to be a significant distraction to working animals during your stay.

If you have animal allergies, you may like to consider staying at our sister property, Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park, which does not allow domestic pets on the property.

The Pyramids are not currently accessible for wheelchair users, and internal stairs may pose a challenge for guests with limited mobility. Please contact the operator directly with any specific questions regarding your access needs.

Improvements to accessibility will be a key consideration moving forward, as the property continues to grow. Grampians Getaway is an evolving passion project for local owners Josephina and Rohan, who have big dreams for this secluded pocket of paradise. Their longer-term vision is to transform the property into a Grampians Retreat of Wholeness Health and Wellbeing (or GROW) – an immersive, feel-good retreat of holistic wellbeing. Future plans include additional couples’ accommodation, universally designed cabins, and a carefully curated selection of wellness offerings, such as saunas, plunge pools and retreat spaces.
