Grampians Helicopters is based at Stall Airport in the Northern Grampians, just three hours’ drive from Melbourne. With an abundance of diverse natural features, this area is known for its dramatic mountainous landscape and rock formations found in nearby Grampians National Park, and the rich and fertile farmlands and vineyards of the surrounding plains.

Entering the terminal at Stawell Airport via ramp, you will feel the buzz of excitement building in anticipation of your upcoming adventure. Grampians National Park was declared a protected area in 1984, and is heritage-listed for its Aboriginal cultural heritage, abundant and diverse animal and plant life, awe-inspiring beauty and dramatic landscapes. If you’ve opted for a scenic tour, your flight will pass over a selection of the Park’s most stunning features, including spectacular sandstone ridges, high rocky plateaus, dramatic rock formations, sheltered gullies and expansive lakes, including the largest gravity fed lake system in the Southern hemisphere. Highlights may include the historic Stawell Gold Fields, the rocky and rugged Roses Gap, magnificent Mackenzie Falls, the towering peak of Mount William, man-made Lake Bellfield and the 450-million-year-old rock formations of the Sera Ranges.
