INVERLOCH

Bass Coast Shire Council is committed to making its beautiful coastline accessible to everyone. Inverloch provides opportunities to visit the beach or enjoy ocean views from a number of parking areas along The Esplanade and Ramsey Boulevard. A 7.2-kilometre return shared paved pathway, suitable for wheelchairs, mobility aids and strollers, runs along the foreshore from Cuttriss Street to Ozone Street and provides links from town to the caravan parks. A number of beach access tracks lead from the paved foreshore walking track and vary in terrain. An all-abilities fitness station is located close to The Glade.

The Inverloch Community Hub located on A’Beckett Street provides a range of accessible facilities including a library, a community house, meeting rooms, a hall, a sports stadium, a Visitor Information Centre, staffed by customer service representatives from Monday to Friday, the Art Exhibition space, the Maternal Child & Health Service, games, an accessible toilet and a scooter recharge point. 

The council’s customer service and Visitor Information Centre have received KultureCity Sensory Inclusive certification. KultureCity sensory inclusive bags are available at the Inverloch Visitor Information Centre for use within the centre.

A three-wheeled Hippocampe beach wheelchair that can travel over uneven surfaces and soft sand is available for loan from the Inverloch Visitor Information Centre. Book ahead by calling 1300 762 433 or email bookings@basscoast.vic.gov.au.
