They’re all equipped with ensuites, balconies and air-conditioning, and each has its own unique features, such as hand-crafted Queensland maple furniture, a fireplace, plush canopy beds or spa bath. Our spacious one- and two-bedroom suites have been newly appointed with kitchenettes with dishwashers and cooking facilities.
For couples seeking private luxury, or if you’re travelling with a larger group, you’ll love our self-contained, architecturally designed villas, perched on the sloping hillside. Some of our villas are two-person, and others can accommodate up to nine guests. Luxury and conviviality await, with expansive decks, private BBQ facilities and blissful outdoor private spa baths.
Dining is a delight at O’Reilly’s. Enjoy homemade pizzas in the casual Rainforest Bar with stunning sunset views. Alternatively, opt for a gourmet à la carte meal in the formal dining room. Complement your meal with perfectly paired wines from nearby O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards. If you’re planning a day exploring Lamington National Park, order a picnic hamper for a lazy picnic or a packed lunch for lunch on the go from our restaurant.
Lamington National Park
Lamington National Park is your backyard while you are staying at O’Reilly’s. This incredible, deep green oasis dates back over 180 million years to the ancient Gondwana rainforests. The park, established in 1915, comprises over 130 kilometres of walking tracks and nature trails leading to more than 500 world-class waterfalls. With walks graded from 1 to 4, with lengths from a kilometre to 22 kilometres, there’s a walk for everyone. Spend a day or three exploring this wonderland – it’s up to you. You’ll find maps of self-guided walking trails on our website. Discover hidden swimming holes, inspiring lookouts and a rich ecosystem brimming with plant and animal life. Trek through a stunning, rugged wilderness of 21,000 hectares of varying forest types, including temperate Antarctic beech forest, subtropical rainforests, and dry eucalypt forests.
You might be lucky enough to catch sight of some of the rarest creatures on Earth, such as Albert’s lyrebird, which is one of the many songbirds the park is famous for. Eastern whipbirds, crimson rosellas and king parrots are commonly seen, as is the regent bower bird, with its brilliant black and gold feathers. Lamington National Park is home to more than 160 species of birds, as well as reptiles, frogs, mammals and invertebrates. Its national park status protects about 58 plants and more than 22 animals classed as vulnerable, rare or threatened with extinction. Countless invertebrates and plants, particularly smaller ones, are yet to be discovered.
The high elevation of the park means it’s always between five and eight degrees cooler than Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The weather here can change abruptly, so regardless of the time of year you visit, make sure to pack a jumper!
O’Reilly’s Discovery Program
Choose your own adventure – or two, or more – from O’Reilly’s Discovery Program. Sit back and be entertained by the birds of prey show. Get up close and personal with some of Australia’s unique fauna in our family-friendly wildlife encounter. Discover O’Reilly’s iconic Tree Top Walk nestled high within the national park. Observe natural flora and fauna at close range as you stroll along nine suspension bridges slung through the rainforest canopy. Be soothed by the symphony of native birds and inhale the enticing scent of flowering and fruiting trees. There are profiles of the native flora along the walkway to help with identification. The surroundings are cool and shady, as the canopy is covered by vines. From here, climb to two separate observation decks. The highest one is 30 metres above the ground, snuggly placed in a strangler fig tree.
The sky really is the limit at O’Reilly’s Discovery Program. Soar like an eagle with a day or night flying fox adventure: feel the wind in your hair and the rush of air in your ears as you hurdle through space. We also offer experiences a little closer to the ground. Test your off-road skills on a two-wheeled Segway tour through creek crossings to Moran’s Falls. You can also enjoy eBike tours, stargazing, guided walks, 4WD tours and much more. Children can join our Eco Rangers school holidays program.
O’Reilly’s Lost World Spa
Revel in ultimate luxury with a blissful treatment at our Lost World Spa. We offer regular specials and new treatments to pamper your mind, body and soul. Let your stresses melt away, put your feet up and switch off from the world. Start and finish your experience in our Lost World Lounge. Relax with a herbal tea in hand and gaze at dreamy views of Lamington National Park.
We offer seven luxurious treatment rooms, including a couple’s suite, which features a deep, handcrafted wooden tub and a private, nature-inspired shower. Soak up spectacular views over the valley to the distant peaks of the McPherson Ranges during your pampering session from this suite.
Then, treat your body to fresh air and sunshine by relaxing in our 25-metre infinity pool. The views from here are also amazing. Meanwhile, children can splash to their hearts’ content in the nearby wading pool.
We recommend concluding your visit with a session in our steam room. It’s the perfect way to sweat out toxins and relax tense muscles. Let the steam work its magic and you’ll leave feeling light as a feather.
