The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery is a Yarra Valley institution. Step inside this emporium of decadence and you’ll certainly smell why. Be prepared for your mouth to water as you enter the showroom filled with an exquisite variety of hand-crafted chocolates and sweet treats made on site from the finest locally sourced ingredients. Indulge your sweet tooth with product tastings, an enormous range of chocolate treats, delicious rocky roads, house-made ice-creams, and sumptuous sweets that will have you feeling like a kid in this candy shop.

Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, there’s also a cafe available for a savoury bite, or choose from a selection of take-away picnic hampers and gourmet boxes which can be enjoyed in the surrounding forty acres of landscaped grounds. Our tip? Grab a takeaway hot chocolate as you're leaving to allow the sweetness of this experience to linger a little longer.

The Edible Forest is located in Dixons Creek and is Australia’s largest interactive edible garden. Participate in a guided tour with a gourmet gardener, as you soak up the sunshine and explore the aromas of this lush and productive space. Learn about the varied plants in the Edible Forest and discover the benefits of growing them at home for cooking or medicinal purposes. There may even be an opportunity to taste some of the garden’s unique offerings!

Yarra Valley Dairy offers a delightful experience of fine hand-crafted cheeses and locally produced quality wines. The Farm Cheese Shop, located in the original refurbished 100-year-old milking shed, exudes rustic charm, and provides the perfect setting for fresh cheese tastings accompanied by fine wines from small local vineyards. Choose from marinated cheeses, steeped in quality olive oil and infused with herbs like thyme and bay leaves, saffron and lemon or fiery chilli.
