We have everything from wetsuits, snorkel and scuba gear to kayaks, stand up paddleboards and fishing tackle. For those craving a little relaxation, our massage and beauty hut awaits. Immerse your senses in beachside bliss, with a range of indulgent treatments to soothe body and soul and spirit.

    Tangatours main office is located on the beachfront just a short stroll north of the main jetty at Tangalooma Island Resort.

    Adventure Activities

    Tangatours delivers enthralling island adventures from land, sea and sky. Our extensive range of action-packed activities are sure to get your adrenaline pumping as you embrace the wild and free spirit of island life.

    Experience the breathtaking sensation of flight as you soar above the island’s spectacular coastline on an unforgettable parasailing adventure. Floating up to 150 metres above the ocean, you’ll marvel at the serenity of your bird’s eye view of the shipwrecks, lush sea grass beds and stunning island scenery. Below, wild dolphins, dugongs and turtles glide majestically through the shallows of the sandbar, creating a moving, living seascape beneath your feet.

    For those who like the sensation of speed without raising a sweat, our guided Segway Tours are a perfect blend of adventure without exertion. Weave your way up and down the beach as we zoom towards the Northern Logs, learning some fascinating island facts along the way.

    Get your family or friends together to experience the rush of an exhilarating banana-boat ride. Feel the wind in your hair, the sun on your face, and the refreshing spray of saltwater on your skin.

    Beneath the glistening surface, a watery wonderland awaits your exploration. Snorkelling is accessible to people of all swimming abilities with a range of flotation aids available and all tours closely supervised by a small group in-water guide.

    If you wish to delve a little deeper, discover the incredible sensation of scuba diving or join a certified diver guided tour to get up-close to over 200 species of fish, 130 species of coral and 15 semi-submerged vessels. We have scuba options to suit children and absolute beginners through to experienced divers.

    Calmer Cruising

    If you’re looking for a more relaxed way to get out on the water, our clear bottom kayak tours and informative sightseeing cruises are sure to float your boat.

    Climb aboard our clear bottom kayaks for a unique way to experience the splendour beneath the surface without the need to dive in. Paddling in pairs, you’ll embark on a peaceful guided tour to explore the surrounding waters of the Tangalooma shipwrecks. Your kayak’s unique transparent bottom provides a window into the clear waters, teaming with a vast assortment of tropical and sub-tropical fish species and corals. You may also happen to encounter larger marine wildlife, such as dolphins, dugongs and turtles which are known to inhabit the area.

    Alternatively, our ever-popular Marine Discovery Cruise or Fish Feeding and Wreck Tour offer informative audio commentary about the island, wrecks and resident marine life, with the possibility of cruising alongside some of our most loved marine animals such as sea turtles, dolphins, and dugongs. These tours are conducted in a specially constructed touring boat complete shaded seating areas and glass bottom viewing pods for an enhanced sightseeing experience. You’ll also be offered the opportunity to participate in an interactive fish feeding session from the comfort of our vessel.     As the sun dips low across the ocean, a new set of adventures await.

    Soak in the natural serenity of a Dusk Kayak Tour. Slide your paddle through the water’s calm surface, which glistens with a golden glow reflecting the day’s final rays. Beneath your feet in this glass bottomed kayak, the underwater world comes alive with evening activity, while above the surface, a growing sense of calm stillness seems to wash over you as day slips silently into evening.

    Alternatively, find your balance and enjoy a few laughs on our entertaining Sunset Stand Up Paddleboard Tour. With our experienced guides on-hand to help teach you the basics, these tours are perfect for beginners and anyone keen to explore Moreton Bay and its marine life bathed in a beautiful sunset.

    Or end your day in pleasant serenity aboard our relaxing Sunset Cruise. As the sun melts into the horizon, drinks are poured, music is played, and happy holidaymakers reflect on their day’s adventures. Expert audio commentary accompanies the journey, revealing the history and incredible marine life of Moreton Island.

    As darkness descends, join us for a unique and captivating evening of discovery aboard our purpose-built glass bottom boat to the world-famous Tangalooma Wrecks. As our guide sheds light on the history of Moreton Island, our vessel illuminates a breathtaking underwater world below, teaming with marine life such as sleeping turtles. This is sure to be a truly enlightening experience!

    Equipment Hire

    Once you’ve taken some of our tours and are familiar with what’s on offer, or if you prefer to travel at your own pace, check out our range of fun-fuelling water sports equipment available for hire.

    Take your time exploring the crystal-clear waters of the Tangalooma Lagoon and the intriguing nooks and crannies of the Tangalooma Shipwrecks teaming with marine life. Your snorkel hire includes wetsuit, fins, snorkel, mask and life jacket (if required), ensuring you’re all kitted out for an exciting ocean adventure. For certified divers, we also offer a range of scuba equipment, allowing you to enjoy up-close encounters with our spectacular underwater world.

    As with all marine adventures, our guests need to be mindful of the prevailing weather conditions and always use hire gear within the limits of their swimming ability.

    For those who prefer to stay above the surface, we offer single and double kayaks, stand up paddleboards and even motorboats, so you can captain your own adventure within our beautiful bay.

    Or for the ultimate excitement (or for those who can’t decide where to begin) why not purchase an Adventure Day Pass? This ticket to freedom out on the water entitles you to three hours each of kayak, stand up paddleboard and snorkel equipment use, as well as all day wetsuit and fishing gear hire (including bait and tackle).

    Hire equipment is available from 8:30am to 5pm, subject to availability, weather and some other conditions. Pop by to check out our range at Tangalooma Water Sports, just a short walk north of the island ferry jetty and our Tangatours office, next to the main resort pool.

    All guests purchasing Tangatours products must be travelling on the Tangalooma ferry or staying at Tangalooma Island Resort.

    Our main office features ramp access, a wide entry and plenty of open space to manoeuvre. We have beach matting available in front of our office to aid mobility over the upper soft sand section of the beach, and our pontoon and glass bottom boats offer ramp access directly off the shore. Accessible toilets are located within the resort’s main building, adjacent to the Tangatours office.
