DREAMWORLD
Dreamworld Accessibility
At Dreamworld, we are dedicated to making our park as accessible and inclusive as possible, ensuring that every guest, regardless of their mobility, sensory or medical needs, can enjoy a fun and memorable visit. With a wide range of accessibility features, support services and inclusive experiences, we strive to accommodate all visitors while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Getting to Dreamworld
Located on the Gold Coast, Dreamworld is easy to reach by car, bus, tram or train. No matter how you’re travelling, there’s a convenient way to get here. There are designated accessible parking bays conveniently located right in front of the main entrance, ensuring easy access to the park. For more information on transportation options, visit our How to Get Here page at www.dreamworld.com.au/park-information/how-to-get-here.
Mobility and Physical Accessibility
Dreamworld is fully wheelchair-accessible, with wide doorways, smooth pathways and step-free access throughout the park. Wheelchair and mobility scooter hire is available at reasonable rates, and several accessible bathrooms are conveniently located across the park. For those who need assistance boarding rides, select attractions feature modified access points and trained staff are available to provide support. Additionally, Dreamworld’s Park Health and Accessibility Facility, located near Sky Voyager, serves as a resource for guests who require extra assistance in planning their visit.
Sensory- and Neurodivergent-Friendly Features
At Dreamworld, we understand that sensory sensitivities can affect how guests experience the park and we’re proud to offer a range of features to support visitors with neurodiverse needs. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program allows guests with hidden disabilities to wear a discreet identifier, signalling to staff that they may require additional assistance. Sensory maps and social scripts are also available to help visitors familiarise themselves with the park before arrival and navigate the park at their own pace, ensuring guests who rely on their support can enjoy a safe and inclusive visit.
For those who need a quiet space to relax, the Calming Cottage, located near Steel Taipan, provides a low-sensory retreat with dim lighting, cosy seating and adjustable bubble lamps. This air-conditioned space offers three calming rooms, allowing guests to recharge in a peaceful environment. Sensory toolkits, designed to support guests who require additional sensory input, can also be borrowed from Guest Services.
Service Animals and Assistance Support
While assistance animals are not permitted on Tiger Island or in the Wild with Australian Geographic precinct, they are welcome throughout the rest of the park. There are two designated grassy toileting areas for assistance animals, one located just outside the main entrance and another conveniently positioned inside the park near the entry to Steel Taipan.
Dining and Digital Accessibility
Dreamworld offers QR code–accessible menus, making it easier for guests with low or no vision to explore dining options. Dreamworld’s website is equipped with a tool that allows users to customise their browsing experience based on their needs, including seizure-safe mode, vision-impaired settings, ADHD-friendly adjustments, cognitive disability support, keyboard navigation and screen reader optimisation.
Parent and Family Accessibility
Families visiting Dreamworld can enjoy a state-of-the-art Parents Centre, accredited by the Australian Breastfeeding Association. This facility provides six private feeding rooms, designed with ample space for mobility aids and power points for medical equipment. The centre also includes spacious bathrooms with child-friendly mini-toilets and sinks, an accessible bathroom with a drop-down change table for wheelchair users and multiple nappy-changing stations. Parents can relax knowing they have access to a comfortable and inclusive space for their little ones. There’s also the option to hire single or double strollers, or even a Burleigh Wagon.
Safety Considerations
At Dreamworld, your safety is our top priority, and while we’re proud to offer a park that’s inclusive and welcoming, there are some limitations to keep in mind. Certain rides and attractions have manufacturer-set requirements, including height, age and physical ability. These rider requirements are in place to keep all guests safe, but they may limit access to some experiences. To help you plan your day, detailed ride accessibility guidelines are available on our website at www.dreamworld.com.au/park-information/accessibility and at the entrance to each attraction.
If you have a medical condition, disability or access needs, we recommend stopping by the Park Health and Accessibility Facility near Sky Voyager when you arrive. Our trained team can help tailor your visit, offering guidance on which attractions best suit your needs so you can enjoy the day safely and confidently.
Staff Training and Commitment to Inclusion
At Dreamworld, we’re committed to making sure every guest feels welcomed, supported and included. Our team members are trained in accessibility support, so guests with disabilities can count on receiving the help they need throughout their visit. Our team continuously updates and enhances accessibility practices, going beyond industry standards to provide a safe, inclusive and enjoyable experience for all visitors. For additional accessibility inquiries, guests can contact Guest Services in advance at reception@dreamworld.com.au.
Whether it’s a thrilling ride, an interactive wildlife encounter or a quiet moment in the Calming Cottage, we believe every guest deserves to experience the magic of Dreamworld – in their own way and at their own pace.
